Todd:
I have not visited this sight for quite a while. My 55 year old brain can't seem to remember all the passwords. These A6A's sounded as good in the theater as my EV Sentry III's do at home...That's why I went to that particular theater. Somehow the mid bass weakness was overcome in the theater setting. PLUS...I'm not a big fan of E-Bay because they have contributed to the disappearance of so many fine speakers by "parting" them out. I just couldn't let that happen to these A6A's so I purchased them for $450 when the theater "modernized" its sound system to a THX capable "new" 40,000 watt system.
Bottom line: I'd like to "restore" these A6A's to their original "concert hall sound quality". If repaired correctly, they should be the equal of the Sentry III's. I am a farmer, not an audio engineer. I would be quite happy to contribute to the continuation of this forum. (I went back thru the postings and found your request for financial assistance.) I located a Win ISD Excel based program where the T/S Parameters of a particular speaker are entered and it tells you all about the cabinet for the speakers. For me, that is backwards. I already have the cabinet. Thru Parts Express I built subwoofers (2) that can match the SPL's of these A6A's. So I am serious about keeping these speakers. I know that I am "long winded". I your capacity as "Owner & Webmaster", you probably have access to my email address. If you choose, you may address this statement using my email address. Thank you for your help.

Hello!
I'm out of town this week, but will be able to thoroughly answer your questions when I return next week (where I am at doesn't allot me much time on the 'net).
